Vocation
The Urban Hope Leadership Initiative is a nine‑month Christian leadership program for African American recent college graduates based in Fairfield, Alabama. Rooted in the belief that faith should shape every part of life, the program invites Fellows into a transformative season of growth, reflection, and hands‑on engagement. Fellows live, learn, and serve in community, gaining a deeper understanding of how to use the gifts God has given them.
In addition to the core program, UHLI offers four specialized courses designed to deepen participants’ theological knowledge and strengthen their understanding of ministry. Beyond spiritual and leadership development, the curriculum also provides practical life skills, including financial management and guidance on homeownership, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for both personal, and professional success.
We guarantee fellows job placement with partnered employers, providing a direct path into the workforce. Alongside securing employment, we offer vocational guidance that helps individuals identify their strengths, align with meaningful career opportunities, and develop the confidence to thrive in their chosen fields. Our commitment goes beyond placement—we prepare fellows to build lasting, fulfilling careers.
