What is UHLI?
Urban Hope Leadership Initiative is a Christian leadership formation program for college graduates based in Fairfield, AL. Our mission is to equip Fellows to live seamless lives of faith in vocation, community, discipleship and service.
Vocational Development and Training
Engage in paid, degree-related work that helps you to grow valuable skills for a future in the marketplace.
Be in community with other men
Each week, UHLI men gather for roundtable. This is a time to eat, fellowship and discuss manhood.
Learn theology and practical life skills
In UHLI, you will take four courses that will enhance your theology and understanding of ministry. You will also learn things like how to buy a house and managing your money.
Get Involved in a local church
Experience being connected to a church that is passionate about equipping black men to worship God and be on mission. Each week, UHLI participants are committed to attending Sunday service and mid-week Bible Study.
Be a part of mission opportunities
UHLI participants will have an opportunity to serve in both local and global missions. We will take a mission trip to the Bahamas.
Take part in vocational training and assessments
You will take part in intentional career training and assessments through the UHLI year. We want you to be confident in how God has designed you so that you can have the most impact in whichever career you are called to.
